英国天然气运输网首次接入生物甲烷气织布机

据能源新闻8月17日消息称，据Kallanish energy报道，粪便中的生物甲烷首次被接入英国国家天然气传输网络，为英国的能源转型提供了支持。

英国国家电网上周表示，第一批注入天然气电网的生物甲烷来自剑桥郡的萨默塞特农场，该农场为BioCow所有。该农场将以每小时1.5万立方米的速度向电网输送沼气，然后与普通甲烷混合。

通过厌氧消化，奶牛的排泄物被密封在没有氧气的容器中，然后这些物质被自然产生的微生物分解，产生沼气。

这个农场每小时能满足十户人家的需求。

国家电网天然气系统运营负责人Ian Radley表示：“在英国实现零碳排放的过程中，生物甲烷将与氢一起发挥关键作用。”

British gas grid receives first biomethane feed

Biomethane from manure has been connect浮动球阀ed for the first time into the British national gas transmission network, supporting Great Britain’s energy transition, Kallanish Energy reports.

The National Grid said last week the first biomethane fed into the gas grid came from the Somerset Farm, in Cambridgeshire, owned by BioCow. The farm will supply up to 15,000 cubic meters per hour of biogas flows to the grid, where it w彩虹机ill then be mixed with regular methane.

Through anaerobic digestion, the cow waste is sealed in tanks without oxygen, where the material is t家电外壳hen broken down by naturally occurring microorganisms and biogas is produced.

The farm can meet demand of ten households every hour.

“Alongside hydrogen, biomethane will play a critical role in the journey to Britain achieving net zero,” said Ian Radley, head of gas systems operations at National Grid.

“We’ve collaborated closely with BioCow on this innovative project to ensure we met their needs and ultimately successfully connected their site to the National Transmission System, supporting the transition to a low carbon economy and paving the way for similar projects in the future,” he added.

BioCow owns another two biomethane plants transforming bovine waste into biogas, via anaerobic digestion.
